E-mail this article to a Friend The Green Horse The Fourth Horse of Revelation is Islam - one of four I will quickly rehash the
introduction about the four horses of prophecy before discussing the
green horse. Twice in the Bible, a significant prophecy is written
concerning four horses: Zechariah 6 and Revelation 6. Here is the exact verbiage
from Zechariah 6:1-8 And I turned, and lifted up
mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from
between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, These
are the four spirits of the heavens,
which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country. because the verses tell us plainly. They are four spirits that traverse the earth. We will look at more detail in a moment. First, let's read the similar verses in the book of Revelation 6:1-8: And I saw when the Lamb
opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder,
one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Let's identify these four horses and define as much meaning as we can discover. The New American Standard Version of the Bible gives a very interesting translation of verse 7. "When
the strong ones went out, they were eager to go to patrol the earth." And He said, "Go, patrol the earth." So they patrolled the earth. These prevailing end time spirits have historically been arch rivals both in philosophy and politic. As the four most powerful spirits on earth (beside the power of God) these four spirits have patrolled, even dominated the earth for the entire last CENTURY, and as such, certainly appear to fulfill prophecies concerning the last days. "Pale" Horse
This one is too amazing to believe on first glance, but take my word for it, you WILL see the evidence shortly! The translators of the original King James Version of the Bible (1638) gave us the word PALE for the fourth horse. Let's look at how they came up with that. In the GREEK text, the word "chloros" is present. "Chloros" means GREEN. It is the same as seen in the world chlorophyll, which is the green color of plants. Obviously, the translators could not imagine a green horse, so gave us the word "pale" instead. The Old Testament reference to the fourth horse in the KJV called it, "grisled and bay". "Grisled" is not a color, but a texture (spotted or splotched). The Hebrew word that is translated "bay" here is not used anywhere else in the Bible. It is an uncertain term that more accurately means "strong or courageous." Therefore, when we combine what we know about the fourth horse from both Zechariah and Revelation, we see a "strong, courageous green" horse. The universally identifiable color of Islam is green. Look at virtually ANYTHING that has to do with Islam and you will see GREEN. And it is definitely STRONG, COURAGEOUS! "And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, ...and with death." Revelation 6.  So, Islam is the green horse
of death seen in Revelation 6:8. The prophecy
there foretells Islam’s patrolling fully one-fourth of the
earth. More than 1.5 billion people out of about 6 billion are
Muslim! One-fourth!"The Green Flag of the Prophet" In 1878, Littell's Living Age magazine published an article entitled, "The Green Flag of the Prophet" in which the author revealed the story of the banner belonging to Mohammed, founder of the Muslim religion. Mohammed's banner was green. It was written that Mohammed, gazing out upon a vast prospect of fields, said: "Nature is green, and green shall be my emblem, for it is everlasting and universal." Mohammed's flag "is of green silk, with a large crescent on the top of the staff, from which is suspended a long plume of horsehair (said to have been the tail of the Prophet’s favorite Arab steed), while the broad folds of the flag exhibit the crescent and quotations from the Koran." Brewer's Dictionary (1894) furnishes this description:  "The
Banner of the Prophet (Mahomet) : What purports to be the actual
standard of Mahomet (Mohammed) is preserved in the Eyab Mosque of
Constantinople (now Istanbul). It is called the Sinjaqu 'sh sharif.
It is made of four layers of silk, the top-most being green,
embroidered with gold. In times of peace it is guarded in the hall of
the 'noble vestment' as the dress worn by the prophet is styled. In the
same hall are preserved the sacred teeth, the holy beard, the sacred
stirrup, the sabre and bow of Mahomet."Above is a photo of the shrine where Mohammed's memorabilia is kept. The golden casket contains the flag and other items. In the foreground is Mohammed's green-sheathed sword. It is said that if this green banner of Mohammed is ever raised above the Mosque in Istanbul, it is a sign to the entire Muslim world that it is time to go to war against Christians throughout the world. "The
raising of the green standard is a call which none may disobey, without
sacrificing, as the Koran calls it, all hopes of Paradise. It is a summons to an anti-Christian crusade, a challenge of every believer in the Prophet to arms; a war-signal in fact, which, like the fiery cross of Scotland, would flash its dread command through the domain of Islam. In the interests of humanity, however, we may hope that the "commander of the faithful" will never utter the dreadful word; for then indeed would the whole soul and strength of Christendom turn against the enemy of all civilized laws, human and divine. The Prophet himself predicted that one day when his followers should number a hundred millions-which they do now, with twenty millions more added to it-his flag should fly against the advancing power of the northern races; and the Koran, or Mohammedan Bible, says that when its silken folds are flung forth "the earth will shake, the mountains melt into dust, the seas blaze up in fire, and the children’s hair grow white with anguish." (Littell's article - 1878). In a September 2006 article, WorldNetDaily.com reported an influential Islamic preacher in Gaza, Sheik Abu Saqer declared "the day will come when the GREEN FLAG OF MUHAMMED will be raised upon the Vatican and all around the world." DEATH is the trademark of the GREEN HORSE. Can anyone question the accuracy of that prophecy when Islam today is associated around the world with the nearly 3000 deaths in the World Trade Center attack of 9-11-01, and over 8,000 subsequent Muslim bombings around the world since that time. Where is this so-called "religion of peace"??

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, (below) has
repeatedly sworn Iran and Islam to the death and destruction of both
Israel and the United States. He
publicly pledges to "wipe
Israel off
the map."  In 2001 Khamenei said of Israel, "this cancerous tumor of a state should be removed from the region." Muslim clerics cynically boast that the West loves life, but that "Islam loves death." This is consistent with the prophecy. They teach their followers that the most glorious path to paradise is martyrdom - death by killing others while performing the act of suicide. Due to Islam’s growth and subsequent threats in even Western nations such as Before I close, in the context of what has just been said, I want to speculate that as Islam gains momentum around the world, and as the West, particularly the U.S. liberal establishment and Democrat-controlled Congress turns in fear and runs from Islamic aggression, Islam will finally gain the first stages of global dominion immediately before Jesus Christ returns. In the first half of Daniel's 70th week, (in the first 3.5 of the last 7 years before Armageddon) the Holy Roman Empire, also known as the European Union, backed by the Roman Catholic Church, will enjoy a short-termed renaissance, and global supremacy. This is the "Iron and Clay Feet" of Nebuchadnezzar's image in the book of Daniel. In the middle of that seven years, Antichrist will impose the Mark of the Beast with Roman Catholic Church endorsement. The
Bible says that the Beast will finally HATE THE WHORE and
destroy it. I
expect that Islam will, at the end of the seven years,
finally rise up to take
control of Europe and simultaneously destroy the Roman Catholic Church.
I may be wrong, but right now, that sounds mighty accurate.
I expect to see the United States greatly weakened at the United Nations, and a Muslim majority take over there. (They already control well over one-third of the votes in the General Assembly.) I also expect to see the major population centers of Europe become so Islamicised that their politicians and political processes will come under great duress to yield to continuously increasing Muslim demands, with less and less ability to resist the Islamic insurgence world-wide. Unless and until the free world realizes the seriousness of the threat, there will not be enough military will-power to drive them down. Ultimately, nothing and nobody will conquer Islam other than Jesus Christ Himself at His coming to Armageddon. But He most certainly will. SO, THESE ARE THE FOUR
HORSES
of the apocalypse. They are also the FIRST FOUR SEALS of the Seven Seals of Revelation 5. SEAL ONE - White horse - Catholic Church had a bow and a crown (the pope wears a tiara - triple crown) conquering globally. (Read the history of the RCC and the Crusades.) SEAL TWO - Red horse - Communism - took peace from earth, killing with a great sword. Red Communism killed more people in the twentieth century than any other power at any time in history. Lenin, Stalin and Mao killed about 55 MILLION PEOPLE. SEAL THREE - Black horse - Capitalism - (a pair of balances and a commodities report - measure of wheat for a penny, barley, wine and oil at a price.) SEAL FOUR - GREEN HORSE - Islam - DEATH and HELL FOLLOWED. Need I say more? SEAL FIVE is a pronouncement concerning those who must be martyred during the Great Tribulation. SEAL SIX is the earthquake and other natural phenomenon that accompany the Battle of Armageddon. SEAL SEVEN is half-hour of silence in heaven at its conclusion.
